Thank you for shopping with The Swingset Guys!
We appreciate the chance to have your business and want you to be
completely satisfied. To that end, many of your questions can be
answered or resolved very quickly by checking out the installation manual, looking on the
website, or talking with our Customer Service folks. It is rarely necessary to return a product
since we can resolve nearly anything and will work to do so promptly and to your satisfaction.
However, in the unlikely event you need to return a product and so you won’t be disappointed
or surprised by our policies, please read the policies below BEFORE you buy from us. Because
most of our products are very heavy and large, it costs quite a bit of money to ship and handle
them so returns can be very costly.
Shipping and Handling:
Most small accessories will ship via UPS; however, many of the products available on this website are delivered via a freight carrier (swing sets, playhouses, some playset add-ons). If you are buying a playset, large accessory, or other large/heavy product, it will ship via
common carrier freight because of the weight and size of the boxes. The charge will be calculated to the Shipping Address you use with the assumption that it is a residence and that a lift gate is required on the delivery truck. The delivery we plan for is “Curb Side” only which means the driver is NOT responsible for moving the boxes anywhere other than off the truck. The driver should not require assistance unloading. If you are buying an accessory and it can ship via package express (i.e. FedEx), then it will be calculated that way. Of course, shipping charges are based on the weight, size, and how fast you want your item. When the shipment arrives at the freight terminal near your location, you will be contacted by the carrier to arrange a delivery appointment. While the carrier may allow some flexibility in appointment times, lengthy delays in appointments may result in storage fees. The Swingset Guys is not responsible for such fees.
Receipt of Products:
You are responsible for checking the shipment and if necessary, either noting damage upon receipt. It is very important that you thoroughly inspect the merchandise for and damages that may have occurred during transport. ANY damages that are discovered must be notated on the bill of lading/delivery receipt that you sign. Have the driver initial any damage report and be sure to obtain a copy of this delivery document. Failure to document any transportation related damage may result in delays or even the inability to resolve such claims. If you do not do this, neither the carrier, The Swingset Guys not playset manufacturer will be responsible for any damages or charges associated with replacement of parts damaged in shipping that you accepted. DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE BOX OR ANY PACKAGING MATERIALS UNTIL YOU HAVE INSPECTED YOUR ORDER AND ARE SATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT YOU HAVE RECEIVED. ANY RETURNS MUST BE IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING.
The Swingset Guys is not responsible for deliveries that are misdirected due to an incorrect shipping address, including any fees incurred from misdirected deliveries. If a shipment cannot be delivered successfully as a result of invalid shipping address, or if no one is available to accept/sign for the delivery after an extended period of time, the carrier may need to return the shipment. If this should occur, after a reasonable attempt has been made to make these arrangements with the recipient, a refund for the purchase will be provided, minus any shipping fees incurred by The Swingset Guys.
even though The Swingset Guys strive to meet and satisfiy delivery, delivery times are NOT guaranteed, and various factors can impact the carrier's ability to deliver within the expected time frame. These factors include:
your location in relation to our warehouse
the carrier’s equipment
holidays
weather
other unforeseen events that may delay shipping times
The Swingset Guys swing set delivery offer is good for a standard delivery (no rush deliveries), and is available ONLY in the lower 48 states. Deliveries refused, including those due to late deliveries on the carrier's behalf will be refunded minus all incurred shipping costs, which may include, but is not limited to, shipping costs to and from the respective delivery address.
Cancellations:
If you cancel your order prior to it shipping, we will cancel the transaction and no fees or charges will apply. If you wish to cancel after your order ships but before you receive it, you must refuse the shipment upon delivery. Your refund will be based upon our policies stated below. Once you receive your order, returns are processed under our policies stated below.
Returns and Refunds:
If you are dissatisfied with a product that you bought from our website
(www.theswingsetguys.net) and wish to return it for any reason other than a shipping error, defect or damage, call us at 713-392-0235. One of our Customer Service representatives will provide you with simple instructions for returning and obtaining your refund. Please have your order information ready when you call. Issues including shipping errors, defects, or damaged parts can be resolved quickly and do not require return of the
product to resolve.
Return and Refund Specifics:
1. We will only accept a return if you contact us within 30 days of receipt of your product.
2. You are responsible for any and all shipping charges associated with returning an item.
3. You are responsible for returning the product(s) to the facility we designate.
4. All returned products MUST be returned in like?new condition in original packaging. If you bought a playset, then the pieces MUST be dis?assembled and re?boxed securely in original packaging. If we receive products back that are damaged because of inadequate packing or partial assembly, your refund may at our sole discretion be reduced by the restocking fee
AND an amount equal to the parts we need to replace to make the set like new again.
5. We charge a 15% restocking fee for all returned products. As you can imagine, this is
because it takes significant effort to prepare a returned playset for re?sale and of course,
the returned set cannot be sold as new so we have to sell it at a discount.
6. Refunds will be made by crediting the original method of payment (i.e., credit card, etc.).
7. We will not accept returns for our products that you bought elsewhere. Our Backyard Discovery, Gorilla Playsets sells products through mass merchandise retailers such as Wal?Mart and
Sam’s Club as well as directly to consumers from this website. This return and refund policy
does NOT apply to any products you purchased from any retailer other than from us directly. If you purchased your product from any other retailer other
than us directly, then please check the return and refund policies of the retailer from whom
you purchased the product.
Refund Amounts:
Unless you cancel prior to your product shipping, the amount of your refund will be the result
of the original invoice amount minus shipping charges (outbound plus if any, inbound) minus
the restocking fee minus the price of any damaged parts that we have to replace. Your refund
will be issued after the product arrives at the facility we designate and we inspect the product
for any damage.
Replacement Parts:
Sometimes parts are damaged during shipping or missing from a kit box. Don’t worry! We’ll get you the right part quickly so your playset assembly won’t be held up any longer than necessary. Unfortunately, sometimes packages arrive with damaged, defective, or missing parts. Most replacement part request due to damage or loss except for Gorilla Playsets are handled by calling the manufacturer of the product ordered. Most replacement part orders are typically not sent from our warehouse, but instead from our manufacturers. Scuffs, scratches, nicks and checking are not considered damaged to wood or slides. All replacement part orders are shipped standard ground delivery (regardless of the initial shipment type). Theswingsetguys.net does not provide credits or refunds for the inconvenience of missing or damaged parts or for purchasing replacement parts.
If your item sent via freight truck and it was signed and accepted, the order cannot be returned unless shipping is paid both ways by the customer and the item has not been opened or used/installed. If there is damage, part error, or loss in this situation, replacement parts must be issued.
Warranty:
